About Agra Fort
Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a massive 16th-century fortress that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Built by Emperor Akbar in red sandstone and later enhanced with marble structures by Shah Jahan, the fort houses several palaces, halls, and mosques, including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, and Sheesh Mahal. The fort also offers a distant view of the Taj Mahal from its Musamman Burj tower.
